Our FTC teams
Green Dragons 6422
Engineering & Design
"A well run robotics team should have a good foundation in engineering and design. We must know how to use the tools available to us, we must be looking for new ways to connect into the engineering world, and continuously learn how to design. In our team, the color green ultimately represents Engineering and Design."
Purple Dragons 6526
Image & Inspiration
"As a model team, we would need to inspire interest in, STEM and demonstrate the wonderful things high school students can accomplish. We need to carry ourselves in a manner that displays the image we want to create. Together we are not just a team, but a family. Along with a well-run business with an executed plan, as a model team must connect with our community and spread the message of FIRST and STEM, as well as being an example of a well-spirited team. That is why the color purple in our team represents Image and Inspiration."
Pink Dragons 7807
Improvements & Sustainability
"We understand that we are never done working, we will always have room for improvement. Pink was added as our third unofficial color to signify the changes we want to make and the changes and impacts we will continue to make in our team for improvements. The change would include an increase in mentors, engineering skills, team safety, and community outreach. This also includes thoughts on how to keep our team sustainable. Through this, we will need to create a network of support, work to create a structure the ensure continued success. Along with this team organization, training, and team bonding, and on-going recruitment would be important. That is the color pink represents all improvements done by our team."
White Dragons 8903
Collaboration & Share
"Lastly, we should also share what we have learned, and work with other teams to make them stronger. This would include working together but also collaborating with other schools, the school district, clubs on campus, staff, and the rest of our surrounding community. Sharing with the community is a must for our team, especially in the STEM community and even further into the robotics communities. We need to continue to mentor other teams and allow ourselves to continuously be mentored by those we admire. We need to have a network of a support from other teams and stand as support in return. That is why the color white represents collaboration in our team."
